Bismarck, N.D. – The North Dakota Insurance Reserve Fund (NDIRF) is proud to announce Member Services Representative Mark Verke was awarded the North Dakota Township Officers Association’s (NDTOA) Excellence Award during its 2023 Annual Meeting and Convention held Dec. 4-5, 2023, in Bismarck. The award recognizes Verke for his dedicated service to North Dakota’s townships and continued commitment to providing them with information and education.

“Mark has been a trusted friend to North Dakota township officers,” NDTOA District 1 Director Tom Wheeler said. “He is always willing to answer questions or offer advice about liability issues even when the message isn’t popular. Always visible, always professional, Mark and NDIRF have been by our side.”

Verke has led the NDIRF’s risk services efforts for many North Dakota townships covered by the NDIRF, and he has served as the primary point of contact for the organization’s partnership with the North Dakota Local Technical Assistant Program (NDLTAP). Through this partnership, the NDIRF has supported road safety maintenance, operations, and signing in communities across the state.

“Mark is truly deserving of this award,” said NDIRF CEO Brennan Quintus. “His knowledge and experience regarding overall safety, and specifically driving, road maintenance, and signage safety, has helped so many local governments enhance their risk management programs, and we’re glad to have him on the NDIRF team.”
