NDIRF Sponsors Firefighter, EMS Training

Bismarck, ND – The North Dakota Insurance Reserve Fund (NDIRF) is proud to sponsor four training courses to be offered by the North Dakota Firefighters Association (NDFA) to firefighters and emergency medical services (EMS) workers. The four courses include basic pump operations, advanced pump operations, emergency vehicle operations course (EVOC), and advanced EVOC.

As the provider of coverage and risk services for North Dakota political subdivisions, the NDIRF’s sponsorship of this training supports pump operation safety and emergency vehicle driving safety.

“It’s an honor for the NDIRF to support firefighters and EMS workers who provide such critical services in North Dakota communities,” shared NDIRF CEO Brennan Quintus. “These trainings will help to further enhance their safety and the safety of those they serve.”

The pump operation courses and advanced EVOC was offered at the 2022 North Dakota Firefighters Association Annual State Fire School, February 25-27 in Minot. These courses, as well as EVOC, are also available to member departments throughout the year on the NDFA’s website at https://apps.nd.gov/NDFA/members/Home.

“These courses, pump operations and EVOC, are attended by hundreds of our members each year which demonstrates their interest and commitment to ongoing safety training,” shared NDFA Training Coordinator Chris Demello Rice. “The NDIRF’s sponsorship supports our continued offering of these courses, and on behalf of our members, we are thankful and appreciative of their generosity.”
