NDIRF’s Drennen Earns Master’s Degree in Strategic Communication Management

 

Bismarck, N.D. – The North Dakota Insurance Reserve Fund (NDIRF) is proud to announce Marketing and Communications Manager Joanna Drennen recently received a Master of Arts degree in Strategic Communication Management (MASCM) from Concordia University, St. Paul (Minn.). 

Throughout the two-year program, Drennen completed courses in digital, crisis, and corporate communications, as well as content strategy and connecting with key audiences and stakeholders. The program concluded with a final research project in which she studied internal communications and employee engagement. Her findings were shared in an academic article and final presentation.   

Drennen joined the NDIRF in January 2020. She has bachelor’s degrees in English and communications from the University of Mary (Bismarck, N.D.) and over 12 years of marketing and communications experience.
