NDIRF’s Mark Verke receives NDSC’s Outstanding Safety Instructor Award

Bismarck, ND – The North Dakota Insurance Reserve Fund (NDIRF)’s Member Services Representative Mark Verke recently received the North Dakota Safety Council’s (NDSC) Outstanding Safety Instructor Award. The award recognizes the significant contributions Verke has made to improve workplace safety for North Dakota political subdivisions through his effective instruction of Defensive Driving Courses (DDC).

“Mark’s dedication to training, and his ability to effectively deliver educational content, make him a truly worthy recipient of this award,” NDIRF CEO Brennan Quintus shared. “Training continues to be a top priority for the NDIRF because it helps our members improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their government organizations, so we consider ourselves lucky to have someone of Mark’s training caliber on our team.”

Verke is a Certified DDC-4 Instructor and has led DDC courses for North Dakota’s political subdivisions, including the ND League of Cities, ND Association of Counties, ND Recreation and Parks Association, and ND Township Officers Association. He is a 29-year employee of the NDIRF, serving primarily as an educational instructor under the member services division. He also has certifications in playground safety (CPSI) and pool & spa operating (CPO).

“The number of training hours alone Mark provides our members makes him deserving of this award,” NDIRF Member Services Director Corey Olson shared. “But his commitment and expertise are what set him apart and make him an exceptional training instructor, and we extend our sincere congratulations to him.”
